Most founders are busy. But only a few are growing.
And it usually comes down to one thing:

The ones who scale *know their numbers*.
The ones who stall… don’t.

You don’t need fancy dashboards. You don’t need a sales manager.
But you do need a way to *see* what’s working — and what’s not.

Let’s break down the **5 sales numbers that show you the truth** (in plain English).

1. **Revenue Goal**

Sounds obvious.
But most founders have a *hope*, not a number.

“We’d like to grow this year” isn’t a goal.
“We need €20k/month to hit target” is.

Without a number, your brain can’t reverse-engineer a plan.
Pick a number. Then use the rest of this blog to figure out how to reach it.

1. **Average Sale Value**

Not all sales are equal.

If you don’t know how much you make *per deal*, how can you know how many sales you need?

Example:

- Revenue Goal = €20,000
- Average Deal = €2,500
- You need 8 sales this month. Simple.

1. **Close Rate**

This tells you how many sales calls turn into “yes”.

If you close 1 in 4 calls (25%), you need 32 calls to get 8 sales.
If you close 1 in 2 (50%), you only need 16.

Your close rate shows where the real issue is:
Not enough calls? Or weak conversion?

1. **Lead-to-Call Conversion Rate**

Getting leads is great.
But if they’re not turning into calls, what’s the point?

If you only turn 1 in 10 leads into a call, your funnel is leaking badly.

A good rate?
At least 1 in 4 for warm leads.
Lower than that? Time to fix your messaging or follow-up.

1. **Sales Cycle Length**

How long does it take from “Hello” to “We’re in”?

If it’s 2 weeks, great — you can forecast revenue.
If it’s 2 months, you’ll need way more pipeline just to stay afloat.

Knowing this number helps you plan. Helps you hire. Helps you breathe.

**Here’s Why These Numbers Matter**

Because if you don’t track them, you’re just guessing.

And “guesswork” doesn’t scale.
Clarity does.

**Want a Simple Tracker That Does This For You?**

We built a Sales Tracker that:

- Plugs in your numbers
- Tells you how many leads and calls you need
- Breaks it down *per team member*

It’s free. It’s built for Irish SMEs. And it’ll give you back control.
